Klondike

harvest films’ director, Tristram Shapeero in partnership with Golin Harris and digital agency VIA, produced an online campaign for Klondike called the Klondike Celebrity Challenge featuring actor/comedian Joel McHale of NBC’s “Community” and E’s “The Soup”.

Three celebrity names were revealed throughout the summer: Alfonso Ribeiro aka (Carlton), ‘80s pop-star Tiffany and WWF wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper. Fans utilized Facebook, as well as Twitter to submit ideas for what they’d like to see each celebrity do for a Klondike Bar. Ideas were selected by a jury pool and the winner of each idea appeared in the online video.

The Klondike Celebrity Challenge concluded with “The Klondy Awards” that aired online alongside the 65th Annual Emmy Awards.
Director, Tristram Shapeero who’s worked with McHale in the past on “Community”, directed a majority of the viral films. Jeremy Garelick directed the spot featuring Tiffany. All the films debuted on Klondike’s Facebook page, which has logged in more than 450,000 likes.
